Greece Golden Visa Program
Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the prime minister of Greece, has said that investors funding Greek start-ups will now be eligible for the Golden Visa Program. The Greek economy benefits greatly from the Golden Visa scheme. According to the latest statistics, Greece received 4,734 applications for Golden Visas, which brought around €1.2 billion to the country's GDP.

Updates to the Golden Visa Program for Greece
On September 1, 2024, Greece launched the Golden Visa or Residency by Investment program. One of the program's modifications was raising the minimum investment required for investors to be eligible for a Golden Visa.
If foreign investors invest a minimum of €250,000 in start-ups, they will be eligible for a Golden Visa or a five-year Greek resident permit. For investors from islands with more than 3,100 inhabitants, the minimum investment amount has increased from €500,000 to €800,000.
Rich foreign investors from other countries are required to pay €400,000 for real estate purchases under this program, as opposed to €250,000. The initiative provides real estate investors with two investment options: listing buildings for restoration or turning commercial premises into residential spaces.
