- Portugal launched Programa Integrar, a new initiative to support immigrants looking for work in the country.
- The initiative applies to people enrolled at the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training (IEFP).
- The initiative will assist job searchers, those without a job, those wishing to change careers, and those pursuing vocational training.
- The Program Integrar will provide training, support for skill recognition, and job aid.
The following people can benefit from the new program:
- Unemployed individuals
- Those looking for their first job
- Migrants looking to switch their profession
- Those looking to avail vocational training
How does the Integrar Program operate?
Every enrolled application will undergo an initial review by the IEFP. To find out more about the needs, requirements, and profile of the candidate, a one-on-one interview will be held. If necessary, the evaluation will support the provision of additional specialized services, such as training programs and Portuguese language instruction. To aid with suitable training, the applicant's career history and educational background will also be carefully examined.
