Saskatchewan Introduces 2 New Immigration Pathways!

  • Recently, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program introduced two more skill routes.
  • The two new routes are designed to help with the labor shortages in the agriculture and healthcare industries.
  • Those who live outside of Canada or who are legal residents of Canada may apply for the Agriculture Talent Pathway.
  • Candidates for the Health Talent Pathway must fulfill additional criteria in addition to language competence requirements.

Saskatchewan's New Talent Pathways

Two new immigration routes will be introduced by the Saskatchewan Immigrants Nominee Program (SINP) to bring in skilled laborers for the healthcare and agricultural industries. The SINP is working to meet the demands of the labor market and fill open positions in the healthcare and agricultural industries.

The new talent paths are designed to assist companies in various industries, including farmers, in meeting the province's labor needs. The province's healthcare system is intended to benefit greatly from the Healthcare Pathway.

The Agriculture Talent Pathway of SINP

In order to be considered for the Agricultural Talent Pathway, you must:

  • Are they currently residing outside of Canada or are they lawful residents of Canada?
  • Not a petitioner for asylum
  • possess a minimum level of CLB 4 proficiency or higher Possess a post-secondary education degree or higher
  • possess an offer for a full-time position in Saskatchewan's agriculture industry
  • possess at least one year's worth of full-time job experience from the previous three years.
  • Are prepared to labor and remain in the province?

SINP’s Health Talent Pathway

You would be eligible to apply for the non-Express Entry sub-category of the Health Talent pathway if you:

  • Are legal resident in Canada or currently living outside Canada
  • Not a refugee claimant
  • Have minimum proficiency of CLB 5 or higher in English or French
  • Are employed for more than six months in a full-time job in Saskatchewan (if applying from the province)
  • Have a minimum full-time work experience of one year in the last five years
  • Have a valid and full-time job offer in the healthcare sector of the province
  • Are willing to work and reside in Saskatchewan
