Work permits for YNP candidates in Canada
The Immigration and Refugee Committee of Canada (IRCC) recently announced on October 1, 2024, that it will grant work permits to certain foreign workers residing in the Yukon. The Canadian Immigration Minister, Marc Miller, declared that candidates for the Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) would be eligible to receive up to 215 work permits from the federal government.
The YNP will allow foreign workers to continue working lawfully while their application for permanent residence in Canada is being processed.
