Foreign nationals can now apply for a green card through the official opening of online registrations for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Diversity Visa (DV) lottery in the United States. Applications for participation must be submitted by November 5, 2024, at noon EST.
Up to 55,000 green card numbers will be made available this year through the DV lottery program through a random selection procedure. The FY 2026 lottery results will be made public in May 2025, and those who are selected for a green card will be able to start applying for them on October 2, 2025.
